I just spent an hour and a half drawing a bird and I’ve come to this conclusion: illustrated birds are dumb and are only cool when they’re alive.

Also that stupid branch looks like it’s part of the bird but it’s not uGughgjuugh. ヽ(　￣д￣;)ノ

REBLOGGING TO ASK A QUESTION: it does look like the sun is shining down on the bird head first, right? Like, the bird is looking up to the sun?

There’s less dense detail at the top of the head, so yes, it does. The breast area kind of confuses me though… maybe there should be a tiny bit more detail on that to show it’s just difference in colour and not tone?
